News & Updates

To date the PAYT on the Go program has hosted two highly successful workshops, one in the Front Range and one on the Western Slope. The next, expanded workshop is planned for mid-May in the Central Mountains. The PAYT program is currently working with Summit County, CO, Pueblo CO, Edgewater CO, Aurora, CO and Jackson Hole WY to help implement PAYT programs.

To learn more about our current partners and these programs see below.

Aurora CO- Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado behind Denver and Colorado Springs and one of the 100 largest cities in the nation. Aurora currently has multiple unregulated haulers offering a myriad of choices for residential collection, some with recycling, some with multiple rates, and some with unlimited trash and no recycling. The city is working with the SERA consultants to figure out the "next steps" to increase diversion and waste reduction in the city, hopefully through the implementation of a PAYT program.

Edgewater CO- Edgewater is a small community of 5,000 residents on the west side of Denver. Edgewater has municipal collection of residential waste but no recycling collection. The city has strong political support for PAYT and is working with the consultants to implement a PAYT program with recycling collection for its residential accounts.

Jackson Hole, WY- Similar to Aspen, Jackson Hole is a destination resort area that is geographically isolated. The consultants are helping the city develop a PAYT program that will be integrated with other waste diversion and reduction programs.

Pueblo, CO- Located in Southern Colorado, Pueblo has over 100,000 residents. Pueblo is the latest partner in the PAYT program and the options for PAYT and diversion are being developed.

Summit County CO- Summit County encompasses four towns and a large unincorporated population in the resort and recreation area of Colorado's mountains. The PAYT program being developed with the County will be innovative in its structuring for the large multi-family population in the County.
